Holden is an Australian car brand that was founded by the English emigrant to Australia James Alexander Holden. Holden manufactured cars, trucks, vans, SUVs and utes in Australia. They’re best know for their large sedans and everyday vehicles that were popular in Australia. Holden is the car company that has the lion in their logo.
Holden Car Logo
The Holden logo was first designed by the British born Australian artist and sculptor Rayner Hoff. It depicts a lion holding a stone which comes from a fable that describes lions creating the first wheels from stone.
The GM Holden logo below is for the most recent revision of the Holden badge which has been used since 1994. Previous revisions to the logo were made in 1928 and 1972 but they all included the stylized lion holding a circle.

Below is the Holden logo badge of the lion on the electric Holden Volt vehicle in Australia, 2009. They were a rebadged Chevrolet Volt hybrid electric cars made by General Motors and were sold between 2012 and 2015.
