The Volvo Car Corporation or Volvo Personvagnar is a Swedish car maker that was founded in 1927 by the Swedish bearing company AB SKF (Svenska Kullagerfabriken AB). Volvo Cars was sold by the commercial vehicles company Volvo Group in 1998 to the luxury division of the Ford Motor Company, the Premier Automotive Group (PAG). The Chinese car makers Zhejiang Geely Holding Group bought the Swedish car company in 2010.
